Gah I’m so sorry for falling so behind with my
part of the story! I’ve been playing sims almost every day but between dealing
with an injured rabbit and being stressed out over that, and then dealing with
a shoulder injury that’s decided to act up again I just haven’t felt much like
writing. Sorry! Matthew Taylor was declared heir and it’s off to college for
him to get a degree and hopefully find a wife (gotta get that ring by spring!
Or at least, that’s how things were at the university I went to). I warn you now, this post is going to be big
and image heavy as I want to cram Matthew’s whole uni experience in one post
and since it was actually my first time to send a sim off to university, I took
a ton of pictures.
First step, apply for college and register for classes! He decided he’d
major in business since he wants to go into the Criminal career and since it’s
his first semester he didn’t want to overwhelm himself so he’s just taking 12
credits.
Okayyy…..
All packed up and ready to go!
Off to college!
He moved into the frat house and I decorated his room for him. Nothing
super fancy but it’s at least a little better to look at than what EA had
(which was quite hideous). I was too lazy to take proper pictures lol so you’re
stuck with these awful “from above” shots.

Matt: *is scared*
Hmm, she’s kinda cute!
Poor shy Matt is way out of his comfort zone and has no idea how to
talk to girls. He gets points for trying though and not just hiding in his room
and playing video games.
Okay then…
Yay for free sodas!
He challenged this random girl to a game of beer pong (or I guess,
juice pong but whatever).
Matt: Okay, I can do this, just gotta focus.
Lol, I think somebody’s more than a little tipsy :P

Seriously, Matt, what the heck? You are so weird! That’s it, no more
alcohol for you!
And then he went home to drink some more, in his tuxedo no less. Some
people just aren’t mature enough for college!
Oh wonderful, a werewolf.
He was so traumatized by witnessing the werewolf’s transformation that
he went outside and passed out. Looks like someone inherited some of Brad’s
cowardliness.
Looking over some of the business stuff he was given before class
starts. Gotta be prepared!
Off to his first day of class!
Matt: I don’t want to go to class :( *is a bit hungover*
Well, I guess college here isn’t that different than it is in real
life - a lot of freshman boys who don’t shower for the first month.
Matt: Oh my god will you seriously turn that music down? You’re not
the only one who lives here and some of us are trying to study. Geez!
Yeah welcome to college dude.
Not a bad place to study!
Eating a nice breakfast and trying to get to know some of his fellow
frat house mates.
Ugh, this is seriously annoying! Everyone just congregates right in
front of/inside the doors and it takes forever for them to move so Matt can get
in and go to class. Freakin idiot sims!
So many sleeping students. Including Matt , tsk tsk.
He thinks he’s hot stuff.
This young lady is Ashley. I can’t remember her last name but Matthew
found himself immediately drawn to her.
Ugh, seriously random dude? This is a private conversation between
Ashley and Matthew, get lost!
Matt’s totally smitten with her but she’s unimpressed by his attempts
to flirt with her. She’s cute, I don’t really like that blonde hair with her
skin tone but she’s cute nonetheless!
Matt: Stupid immature frat boys.
So many weirdos at college.
Ashley invited Matt over for a party she was throwing and he brought
her flowers. I think he’s starting to win her over!
She frickin peed herself >.<
Matt just shrugged it off and continued to flirt with her. You’d
better appreciate him Ashley, not many guys would want to continue to get to
know you after watching you just pee yourself for no real reason.
Fairy: Ew, it’s Ashley! You suck, you bitch!
Ashley: Ugh seriously, go away and mind your own business!
Things are going quite well between them :D
Fairy: What the hell?!
Fairy: What are you doing kissing him?!
Ashley: I told you I don’t want to go out with you. You don’t own me,
we are not dating and I can kiss whoever I want to! Go away and leave us alone!
Fairy: Shut up you whore!
Fairy: Don’t you ever talk to me like that!
Fairy: *smacks*
Wow Matthew, you’re just going to sit there and watch while this guy
abuses the girl you’ve spent the evening wooing? What kind of person are you??
Poor Ashley, I don’t know what this fairy dude’s problem is. They weren’t
dating so it’s not like she was cheating on him.
Exams are tomorrow so Matt’s spending the evening cramming and studying.
Off to his first exam! He’s feeling very confident and is sure he’s going to ace everything.
He passed his first exam “with flying colours.” Score!
Playing with his little ball (what’s it called again?) to ease some of
the stress and tension before his next exam starts.
Matt: Ugh, way too many people!
He aced this exam too. Way to go Matt!
He headed off to the coffee shop to treat himself as a reward for
doing so well.
Yummy!
Freakin’ paparazzi! A guy can’t eat a pastry in peace without someone
taking a picture of him.
His report card came in and he nervously glanced at his grades. He got
a B for the semester, not bad for his first semester at college!
Oh the people you meet in a college dorm room (or frat house in this
case).
Spending some time with Ashley before the two of them go off on their
separate ways for the upcoming break.
They’re officially dating now.
Time to go home! I’ll let him have a day at home so he’ll have
a nice little break before heading back to school.
Lol, nothing’s changed here with Bradley.
Staci’s about ready to pop!
Callie’s getting older and since I want to keep that line going, I
thought it would be a good idea to adopt a cat. Well, they didn’t end up
getting a cat because I saw this cute little guy and just had to take him. His
name is Chip and he’s Noisy and Lazy. He’s
just a puppy so hopefully he stays cute as he grows up.
Poor thing is so ready to not be pregnant anymore.

Heiko still lurks around, keeping an eye out on his family.
Time to go back to college! He’s taking 18 credits this semester so he’ll
hopefully be able to graduate a little bit early.
I had him live in a dorm this time, so he could experience both the
dormitory and the frat house. For an EA made world, the campus is actually
quite nice. I’d love to re-make it to make everything look like my university
(or at least, as close as possible) but I just don’t play Uni enough to justify
putting in that much time. Plus I’m way too lazy to do such a huge undertaking
:P Though my university doesn't have fraternities or sororities (they also don't have any drinking and girls and boys aren't allowed in each other's dorms).

Matt: I hate this class. It’s so boring and the professor sucks.

I’m not sure what his celeb level is but it’s high enough to have
paparazzi stalking him and random sims getting star struck.
Matt invited Ashley over the night before exams so he could spend some
time with her. She’s….temperamental to say the least. Though her anger here
wasn’t aimed at Matt, thank goodness.
Time for finals! He spent too much time last night making out with
Ashley and not enough time studying. He’s not feeling very optimistic.
Final exams claims its victims!
He failed both of his exams >.<
His report card came in.
Matthew: Ugh I’m afraid to even look.
Matt: Well, at least I didn’t flunk out of college.
Matt: But ugh, my grade’s dropped down to a C. This sucks!
Matt: Oh well, whatcha gonna do? Ya live and learn I guess.
Fortunately the university is much more forgiving than real universities are
and aren’t making him repeat the classes or kicking him out for failing
everything.
He invited Ashley over again so he could spend some more time with her
before going home for break.
Matt: Here, I got you something to celebrate the end of the semester.
Ashley: Flowers! They’re beautiful!
Dare I say Matthew’s found The One?
Nothing like having some creeper watch you as you’re making out with
your girlfriend.
Oh dear. I don’t think Matthew realizes just what he’s getting into.
Time to go home!
This time I had him turn around and re-enroll in school without a
break. This is his last semester before graduation and I’m eager to get the
next generation started. Since this is his last semester, and he rolled a want
to get a B, he’s really buckling down and spending most of his free time
studying. Hopefully that will enable him to bring his grades up.
Aren’t you a little old to be living in a frat house? I mean, I’m all
for people of all ages continuing their education, so good for you dude, but
there comes a time when you have to accept you’re not a twenty year old and
rent a proper house.
Well, I guess everyone needs to take a break from studying
occasionally.

Social Media was one of the skills he’s supposed to learn to do well
in school so he’s spending some time surfing the internet and streaming some
videos.
Matt: Oops.
Smooth move you idiot. I didn’t know they could do this, I’ve never
really done anything with the social media skill, but his phone’s screen is
cracked and he has to pay to fix it.
This creepy little snowman was chilling by one of the academic
buildings.
Oh god, seriously? While Matt was at class some idiot freaking caught the oven
on fire.
The fire just keeps spreading and spreading.
Finally someone came to put it out.
Well I guess it’s quick meals and eating out for the rest of the
semester because there’s no way I’m paying to replace that stove.
There’s so much special here.

Matt: OH MY GOD I GOT INVITED TO A PARTY!!!
You’ve been invited to many. And you’re not going to this one because
you have to study, exams are tomorrow.
Matt: Darn :(
Well you don’t have to study outside in the snow!
Despite how hard he studied (and he really did work hard to study and
do well this semester), he failed his first exam.
Finals take everyone’s sanity.
He failed his other finals too :(

Matt: I don’t get it, I studied hard and paid close attention in
class. How could I have failed everything like that?
Yeah that wasn’t fair at all, he definitely didn’t get the grades he
deserved. Poor guy worked really hard.

He decided to go bowling by himself, which is super lame but he just
really needed some stress relief.

He proceeded to do a sort of victory dance and it was really special
and weird and made me laugh.
Matt: Hmm, I should totally get even with my professors for giving me
those unfair grades.
Matt: Yes, yes they will pay! They will pay dearly!
Oh dear
Matt: Oh god no, I don’t even want to look.
He didn’t get a nicely decorated dorm room this time because I forgot
to bring all his furniture with him when he left his other dorm and I didn’t
feel like going in and re-colouring/decorating everything.
Matt: A C?
Matt: I really wanted at least a B :(
Matt: Hey Ashley, I’m graduating in a couple of days and was wondering
if you would come to my graduation ceremony? You will? Awesome, thanks so much,
that means a lot to me. I’ll see you there! Love you!
So awkward!
And it just got worse >.<
His whole family came out to watch him graduate.
Ashley: Congratulations babe.
What the heck is that girl wearing??? For that matter, what the heck
is Jake wearing as I know that’s not an outfit I gave him.
With his diploma in hand and a promise from Ashley that she would
visit soon, Matt headed home, ready to start his new life as the Taylor family
heir.
