Last time when we left the Taylors the adults went out of town on a brief vacation, the kids attempted to throw a party that was a huge fail, left the house a huge mess, and when the adults got home Michelle promptly grounded the two teenagers.
She’s finally starting to paint real paintings that don’t look like something a little kid drew.

Jake has decided to try his hand at painting. Guess he inherited that from his mother!
And Bradley has taken up guitar. Gotta have their hobbies I guess.

Teens are bad enough with their hormones and mood swings but geez, grumpy teens are even worse!
Brad went out and got some recipe books. He’s learning how to make…one of the really spicy dishes. I forget which one.
Bradley: What is this? What happened?!
Bradley: Whoever did this is gonna die!
Matty: Vrooom vroooom! I’m driving a high speed race car and I’m gonna beat all the other cars!
Matty decided to try the spicy whatever it is that Brad just learned how to make (and made for the family).
Matty: Why didn’t anyone tell me it was gonna be spicy! Someone get me some water, quick!
Matty: Hmm, so much snow, what should I make with it?
He made a hockey snowman!
And then he made a snow angel. Somebody’s enjoying this cold weather!
Bradley: Hey, Staci, it’s Bradley. Um, I was, uh, wondering if you were free tonight? Um, that is, would you like to come over and hang out? You would?! Seriously?! Awesome!
She’s single! Yay, time to really start romancing her!

Jake: Mom, I’m sorry for leaving the house a mess. I really didn’t mean for everything to be so dirty when you came home. Please forgive me!
Michelle: Hmmm....
Michelle: Absolutely not. You’ve done nothing around the house to make me think you’re sorry and that you’ve learnt your lesson.
Jake: Aw mom, come on, I said I was sorry!
Michelle: Don’t argue with me or I’ll ground you for the rest of your teenage years.

Michelle: Now go away and leave me alone!

Despite that little incident with Jake and Michelle, the teens really aren’t grounded anymore, just in trouble so Jake took Staci out to eat to celebrate her being single and to try to get to know her a little bit better.

Due to all the snow school was canceled for the day. Though this didn’t stop the dutiful bus drive from pulling up to pick up kids.

Matty really wanted to get his face painted so I figured why not.
Since everyone was already at the park Matty decided he'd go ahead and have his birthday here.

Sitting down and eating cake together like a proper family. Minus Michelle who is off at work.
Bradley: I’m thinking of becoming a lawyer when I grow up.
Brad: You should go into environmental law! Help save the environment!
Jake: Uh huh, dream on there kid.
Brad took Jake out in Michelle’s squad car to try to teach him how to drive. I’m not sure if a cop car is the best car for a teenager to learn how to drive in.
Wait, Jake, why are you all the way over there? Why aren’t you in the car and where is Brad?
Brad, where are you and why aren’t you with Jake??? Well that was a total fail.
Michelle: Well, I guess you’ve been punished long enough. I might as well let you off the hook. Just don’t ever do anything like that again or you’ll never be ungrounded.
Bradley: Really? Yay! Thank you so much Mom!
The little newspaper boy randomly started crying after he delivered the newspaper. What's wrong little guy?
Well I guess he wasn’t that upset.
He spends way too much of his time playing video games.
And he’s still spending most of his time playing his guitar. At least it’s a useful skill?
Michelle finally leveled up in painting so she can now paint portraits! She started this one of Brad before he aged into an elder. I’m sad I didn’t have anyone take any sort of photo of Michelle before she aged into an elder (minus all the greeting card pictures). I'm planning on keeping all the greeting cards, pictures and portraits done of everyone so I can bring them to the heir's house and keep that legacy alive.
Michelle was given a laptop for her job so I went into their family inventory and found this. Matty had stolen it from school I think, and I didn’t even know it until I saw it randomly in the inventory.
Michelle finished the painting of Brad! He looks so….serious.
Things are going very well between Bradley and Staci!
And they are now officially dating! One down, two more to go!
Aw, poor guy got pranked. Karma for all the pranks he's pulled.

So many pranks! The teens in this house have been busy!
It’s Snowflake Day so the Taylors decided to throw a Gift Giving party and invite all their friends (which isn’t very many).
Random guy who’s name I can’t remember: This present sucks!
Matty: Wow, I can’t believe someone thought that would be appropriate.
Bradley’s turn! He got a guitar! Which is a wonderful gift, if he didn’t already have one. The thumbs down were directed at Jake, not Bradley.
Poor Jake. Staci, have you forgotten that you were flirting with Jake and interested in him at one point? I guess this is how she deals with the awkwardness - bullies him.
Jake was just chilling outside. I don’t know if he was being teased for being outside or if he just stayed outside to get away from the teasing.
Michelle: Aw darn, this wasn’t what I wanted D:
She got a cheap little rainbow light.
He got a Maxoid Game Simulator video game console. Sweet!
Matty got an easel, which made him very excited. All in all, the gift giving party was a success!
It’s Jake’s birthday! He is very excited about growing up and no longer being a teen.

Jake: Heck yeah, I’m hot!
I apparently forgot to take a picture of him after I changed his clothes and hair, oops. Probably because after he aged up, I opened him up in CAS to give him a makeover, left it up overnight without saving (because you can’t save while they’re in the middle of a birthday), and then my bunny somehow managed to unplug the power strip. Thanks Avaric. His final trait was Bookworm and his lifetime wish is Street Credible, which means he has to master the street art skill and I think paint a certain number of masterpieces.
Now that he’s an adult the push to find him a wife is on!
I did a general sim reset because my game was getting really laggy and then for whatever reason after that reset Bradley couldn’t get up to the top bunk and Matty couldn’t climb up into his bunk bed (even though absolutely nothing was in their way). I reset them and Bradley was finally able to climb up into his bunk but Matty still couldn’t so in the end I had to buy him a new bed.
No more loft bed for Matty! He can actually get into this one lol.
And now it’s Bradley’s turn to grow up!
So far I think he’s the most attractive child, though he’s also the most boring. He rolled Shy as his final trait and his Lifetime Wish is Golden Tongue, Golden Fingers.
Matty: I wanna be an adult too :(
Look who also grew up! Now that’s she’s finally not wearing that hideous hat that was covering her face we can see that she’s actually quite pretty.

The two of them headed down for a date on the beach (or well, the beach house/whatever it’s called). Gotta take a cute couple selfie!

The date was going very well, though despite this all of a sudden I got a pop up from Staci asking if Jake would like to go on a date with her. What the heck, you’re already dating his brother! Make up your mind girl and stop playing games!
Totally unaware of this, Bradley finally worked up the courage to propose!
She said yes!
He really loves his pranks. And so far nobody in the household suspects him, surprisingly.

Graduation time for the boys!
For whatever strange reason instead of going down to City Hall like he's supposed to do, Jake graduated here in his house. He graduated with honours and his classmates voted him Most Likely to Never Leave the House. I guess that's fitting both in this situation since he chose to graduate in the house, and the fact that he's addicted to his video games.
Bradley, however, did go down to City Hall to graduate. I guess we know who's the game's favourite. He graduated with highest honour and was voted Most Likely to be a Rock Star.

Of course Jake headed down to the kissing booth, of course. Kinda sad that his first kiss was one he had to pay for.
The confetti made me laugh. It's like it's saying "Yay Jake finally got SOMEONE to kiss him!"
I finally broke down and made a garden for Brad outdoors in addition to the plants he had inside. I was trying to avoid that since they're dormant and useless for half the year, but, well, he needed to be able to take care of more plants in order to skill up faster.
Jake continues with his mission to deface as much property as possible. Though I'm not sure if tagging your neighbour's house is really the best idea.
He really has no life, it's quite pathetic.

I guess it's a glitch, because lord knows he's no genius, but every time Jake paints something he levels up at least once. It's seriously ridiculous, he's going to master his Street Art skill super fast!
Jake needs to get his butt in gear and find a spouse so I can kick him out, so I sent him down to one of the coffeehouses to go and meet girls. He met Serena, who is really....plain but she's single and I'm pretty sure Jake's not going to be the heir so why not? It's not like he's some super awesome catch, he's gotta take what he can get!

Bartender: Wow, moving a bit fast there aren't you kid?
Well, looks like things are going well between them!
Sometimes you just really need a cup of coffee in order to make it through the day.
Jake got a package in the mail from Staci (it was some sort of hanging plant) along with a letter that said "I was thinking about you and thought you might like this. Call me!" What the heck girl, you're already engaged to Bradley! Stop trying to secretly go after the other brother! I think Bradley has some heartbreak in his future if he goes through with marrying this girl.
Matty had joined the Debate Club and tonight he had a debate at the school. He did so well that he was elected the club president and they gave him a little gavel sculpture! He then proceeded to prank the hell out of the school by releasing 50,000 frogs the school had stockpiled for the upcoming Biology Fair. I don't envy those who have to try to catch 50,000 frogs!

She's all old and grey now. I finally found the default cat eye replacement and installed them sometime in the middle of this generation. I hate all of EA's pet eyes, they all look awful (though the horses are the worst, just creepy black holes).
It's whatever sims calls Easter and Serena invited Jake to a party at her house!
This was the master bedroom in Serena's house. It looks like something a pre-teen girl would like O.o
It's not a party unless some old lady pees in the middle of the hallway, right?

The party was lame, mainly made up of old people crying over an old guy who must have recently died. Jake and Serena did, um, get to know each other a little bit better.

Aww, his first love.
I forgot to take a pic of Matty in his tux before leaving (but you've seen him in his tux anyways for the debate he had). As usual, he didn't have a date because I suck. While at prom, Matty felt like taking out his aggression on a nerdy classmate and was shocked when the classmate fought back and embarrassed him in front of everyone. Serves you right for being a bully you asshole! Still, he was voted Prom King, though why is beyond me. He saw someone else wearing the same tuxedo he was wearing, which isn't surprising since it's just an unedited base game tuxedo. He couldn't get over how amazing everyone looked in their suits and dresses and couldn't stop staring at everyone. Poor little pathetic guy. He then asked his crush to dance and was rejected and heartbroken. So all in all, apart from being voted Prom King his prom was rather lame.
Matty's going to be aging up into an adult soon and soon everyone will be married off and moving out and the heir will be announced. So before all of that happens I thought I'd send them on a trip overseas to spend some family bonding time together.
Brad had always wanted to learn the martial arts skill so they decided on China as their destination. They packed their bags, booked their flights and the next day landed in Shang Simla!
Matty immediately started making friends with the local wildlife.
And then he walked down to the market to see what all they had.
Jake goes all the way to China to sit there and read a book. I can't judge him too much because this is definitely something I would do.
He's finally able to learn the martial arts skill!

Jake finally tore himself away from his books to go fishing outside.

Michelle's a 3 star celeb and is recognized even in China.
Bradley, who has largely been ignored, had a quest that required him to get three assassin bugs (or whatever the valuable little red guys are called). He doesn't have enough time to remotely finish his adventure but he might as well start. Plus these bugs are valuable so if they get sent back before he can deliver them he can just sell them.
Bradley: OH GOD I THINK ONE JUST CRAWLED UP MY LEG! GET IT OFF GET IT OFF GET IT OFF *girly scream*
Yeah he only managed to collect one of them.
Jake mainly stayed at camp and read his books but when I went to check on him he was dancing like a dork with these fellow tourists.
Jake: Booo! You suck you ugly old cow!
Bradley: Dude what is wrong with you?
Wow, what a wonderful note to leave China on >.< With that, the family left for the airport, boarded their flight and flew back to Barnacle Bay.
The Taylors grew very close during their trip to China.
Well, that's it for now, thanks for reading! Next time will bring marriages and I'll announce the heir! I have a pretty good idea of who I want to be heir but who knows, things could change.
